Skive
This is a layout form Communication Arts. Its function is to communicate about Skive's new platform campaign, an interactive recruitment drive for the British Army. The structure of the layout is very clean, well organized, and unified. They have a great balance of white space throughout the article. They used clean and legible sans serif type. They did a good job in using the green colored and bold font for emphasis. I was attracted to the layout because of its unique use of silver and green type.

Where's the Logic?
This publication is titled "Where's the LOGIC?" publicated by Mohawk Paper Mills. It gives information about paper and what kind of paper you can get form Mohawk Paper Mills. It's function is to promote Mohawk Paper Mills as the the best paper you can get so people will buy form them. The publication is very clean, written with normal serif type. They do use some sans serif type for emphasis, but both fonts go together well. The layout of each page uses unity, emphasis, balance, and structure. Almost every page does a great job of using white space. The use of the white space helps the viewer bring their eyes straight to the text and images. That is what attracted me to it.
